2022 Projects and Priorities

A list of plans and projects for 2022 is linked above. A quick synopsis: Finish Negaunee Township Trailhead project, Repair 1200 linear feet of tree root damaged asphalt in Ishpeming and Negaunee, engineering work for new Negaunee Boardwalk project, sign lease with City of Negaunee allowing them to use IOHRA owned surplus land for campground and trailhead, renewal millage in August, start on 2023 5 -year Recreation Plan, continue ORV maintenance, plan for new trailhead near Winthrop Junction, submit MNRTF grants for acquisition of 176 acres in Negaunee and Marquette Townships for a new single track park and development of a 5-mile IOHT extension to Lakenenland.
