Parking, restrooms. Downtown Marquette offers a variety of services including retail, dining, museums, and fuel. Several bike shops located in vicinity.
Miles to Trailhead #8: 3 miles
The first mile is paved and is intended for non-motorized use year round. The last two miles follows the DSSA trail over the MDOT bridge and up to trailhead #8. It will be open for non-motorized users during the warm weather months and is a State designated snowmobile trail from December 1 to March 31.
Entire 3.4 miles is paved. The last 2 miles is scheduled to be rerouted and repaved during a US Hwy 41 repaving project in 2012.
Miles to Trailhead #10: 3.4 miles
The entire 3.4 miles are paved. The first 1.4 miles is intended for non-motorized use year round. The second 2 miles (after the Carp River Bridge) are designated non-motorized in the warm weather months and is a State designated snowmobile trail December 1 to March 31. This portion of the trail runs through Founders Landing in Marquette and parallels the Lake Superior shoreline.
