Miles to Trailhead #9: 3.4 miles
The trail is paved for all 3.4 miles. Approximately 2 miles (to the Carp River Bridge) are designated non-motorized in the warm weather months and is also a State designated snowmobile trail from December 1 to March 31. About 1.4 miles (after the Carp River Bridge) is designated non-motorized all year round. This section of the trail parallels the Lake Superior shoreline up to the City of Marquette through Founders Landing to the downtown Marquette Commons
The first 2 miles are scheduled to be repaved in 2012 during a U.S. Hwy 41 repave project. The second 1.4 miles is paved.
Miles to Trailhead #11: 6 miles
This section of trail is crushed limestone and is designated non-motorized in the warm weather season and is a State designated snowmobile trail from December 1 to March 31. This section of trail parallels Lake Superior Shoreline before crossing M-28 and then parallels M-28 up to Kawbawgam Road near the Objiway Casino.
This section of trail was developed in 2009.
